Revenue of Russia’s Lenta rises 16.6% to 99.8 bln rbl in Apr–Jun

MOSCOW, Jul 24 (PRIME) -- The revenue of Russian retailer Lenta rose 16.6% on the year to 99.775 billion rubles in April–June, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

Sales of Lenta hypermarkets went up 14.8% to 93.518 billion rubles, and sales of supermarkets rose 51.5% to 6.257 billion rubles.

Like-for-like sales increased 3.5% in the period.

The company also said it planned to report January–June financial results calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) on August 29, but based on preliminary estimates, Lenta expected its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) to rise 10% on the year in the period, and the adjusted EBITDA margin to amount to about 8.9%.
